Armor Impact Plus™ (AIP) “hurricane” glass system features three panes of glass, two of which sandwich a tough 0.060" polyvinyl butyral protective interlayer. It also includes a SolarControl Max® Low-E coating and argon gas fill.

Clear double-insulating glass is standard on Soft-Lite Gorell windows and doors, but you need a Soft-Lite Gorell high-performance Low-E glass system for a real difference in energy efficiency.

These ratings are used by the National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) to qualify windows for the ENERGY STAR® label.
