GORELL WINDOWS FEATURED ON DISCOVERY CHANNEL’S “CONSTRUCTION INTERVENTION.”

Indiana, PA, July 08, 2010—Gorell windows were recently featured on “Construction Intervention,” an all-new series on the Discovery Channel. On the episode titled “STARS Youth Center,” New York City construction veteran Charlie Frattini and his crew installed 12 Gorell windows—three double-hung replacement windows, four casements and one awning window—in a major renovation of a crumbling youth center in Howard Beach, New York. The youth center provides daycare services and after-school programs for more than 100 families in the community and was in danger of closing because of structural problems.

Gorell’s 3000 and 5300 Series windows were used in this project. Every window incorporated Gorell’s high-performance AC Master® glass system—featuring double-insulating glass, SolarControl Plus® Low-E and argon gas—and qualified for the ENERGY STAR® label.

The premise of “Construction Intervention” is to follow Frattini and his crew as they use their expertise to save struggling small business owners from stalled renovation projects, or to give vital local businesses a pick-me-up to help improve the entire community.
